Are your worries controlling your life? Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek therapy. Anxiety can be common for all of us in certain situations but just like depression, anxiety does not always look the same. If you find yourself worrying more than usual, overthinking things, experiencing panic attacks and experiencing various symptoms that may be related to anxiety, let our trained professionals meet with you to determine your level of anxiety and provide you with the coping skills to finally relieve and control your worries.
Sometimes life’s challenges can leave us feeling drained and sad. When the coping skills that we have learned throughout our lives are no longer effective, it is time to learn some new ones. Have you lost motivation? Are you crying more than usual? This is a scary place to find ourselves in and it may be time to talk to a caring professional in a safe and warm environment. Depression can affect everyone differently and we want to help identify your specific needs so that your suffering can be decreased.
Your gender identity is a very important part of who you are. When your gender identity differs from the sex you were assigned at birth, this can often cause distress, depression and unhappiness just to name a few. You may be afraid to tell loved ones for fear of how they will react. We want to support you every step of the way and we want to help your loved ones understand the process so that they can also support you during this time of important change.
The pain of loss can feel extremely overwhelming. While it is natural to grieve, some of us can feel stuck in our pain and struggle to find ways to heal from the loss. If you are experiencing grief and loss, you are not alone. Together, we can work through the stages of grief and help you to heal in a healthy manner. You will not “get over” the loss of a loved one, but you will learn to live with the loss.
