Individual counseling is conducted with a trained therapist in a setting focused entirely on the client and their presenting needs in order to address underlying issues that may be contributing to maladaptive coping and behavior. The duration of Individual therapy varies on the need of the client and his/her response to the specific treatment methods used.
Family Counseling is conducted with the individual client and includes the involvement of family members and other close individuals. The purpose of this method of counseling is to provide the client with assistance in developing positive family interactions, improving the functioning of the family unit and developing supportive family involvement in the client’s treatment.
Group counseling is facilitated in a group setting with a collection of clients who have similar therapeutic needs. A working group of peers assist one another in opening up to address a variety of mental and behavioral health issues, give a forum for learning appropriate social interactions, and provide accountability amongst the members. Group counseling may focus on specific education, process, or a variety of topics associated with the needs of the group members.
This is a group for teens age 12-18 who are struggling with behavioral issues, social anxiety, familial strife and peer relationships. The group is facilitated by a therapist and focus is on issues and concerns faced by teens such as peer pressure, substance use, gang activities, goal setting, and cause and effect relationships. Teens learn to address issues through action based steps rather than reaction, and the curriculum is designed to assist in developing effective coping skills.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation is a one to one service to teach and guide the client toward behavioral change and insight in areas such as behavior management, social competency, problem identification and resolution, effective communication, moral reasoning, identity and emotional intimacy, self-sufficiency, and life goals. The purpose is to teach skills that were never learned or restore skills that have been disrupted by trauma, injury, or illness and assist the client to reaching their highest level of functioning.
Basic Skills Training is a one to one service that focuses on age appropriate skills with which the client struggles. The purpose is to address and teach skills such as basic living and self-care, social skills, communication, parent training, organization and time management. The purpose is to teach skills that were never learned or restore skills that have been disrupted by trauma, injury, or illness and assist the client to reaching their highest level of functioning.
Whether in an individual or group setting, substance abuse focuses on the client who uses substances to cope with daily life. Clients are educated regarding the pattern of harmful use of any substance for mood-altering purposes. Clients are encouraged to explore the impact substance use has had physically, socially, psychologically, legally, and emotionally in their lives. Clients are also taught to explore the underlying issues leading to abuse or dependency and face the consequences that are directly related to ongoing use such as the removal of children, strained familial relationships, loss of employment, legal issues, and health concerns, etc. Relapse prevention is a significant part of this service.
Family preservation services are short-term, intensive, and family-focused services designed to assist families in crisis by improving parenting and family functioning while keeping children safe. These services are typically within the family home and designed to assist in avoiding the removal of children or assisting in the transition of children back into the family home.
Therapeutic supervised visitation is similar to a traditional monitored visit between a non-custodial parent and child, except that a licensed therapist is involved in supervising and guiding the visit. The therapist interacts with the family prior to, during and after the visit to help educate, mend, enhance, and heal the parent-child relationship. The therapist is often charged with ensuring the guidelines set by the Court or referring agency are followed, and submits progress reports and recommendations to the referral source as required.
Working closely with the Department of Family Services, the therapist and behavioral health providers engage children and parents in meeting Court requirements to assist with successful reunification. The primary goal is the safe return of children to their birth parents, guardians, or adoptive parents. The treatment team works together to address issues or concerns that may prohibit permanency.
Crisis intervention refers to the methods used to offer immediate, short-term help to individuals who experience an event that produces emotional, mental, physical, and behavioral distress or problems.
This program provides goal-directed, comprehensive and interdisciplinary services directed at attaining or maintaining individuals at the highest practicable level of physical, affective, behavioral and cognitive functioning. Therapists conduct weekly sessions to address depression, anxiety, and a variety of other mental health diagnosis, while behavioral health staff focuses on basic skills training such as basic living and self-care, social skills, communication, organization and time management. The purpose is to teach skills that were never learned or restore skills that have been disrupted by trauma, injury, or illness and assist the client to reaching their highest level of functioning as they prepare for release and independent living.

Parts and Memory Therapy is a way to do counseling or psychotherapy. It begins with two controversial ideas. The first is that the mind consists of many Parts or subpersonalities, each with its own submind. It’s not a single, consistent, streamlined thing. The second is that nearly all adult mental and emotional issues result from our histories of painful life experiences. Permanent healing of these issues comes from finding the Parts of the whole self that carry the painful emotional memories and then neutralizing those memories. The Parts or subpersonalities of a person carry the memories. The memories are the targets for healing interventions. Healing is done by visualizations that neutralize the emotional energy connected to the memories
