I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in mindfulness-based cognitive behavior therapy, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Emotion regulation strategies are essential to living a life of meaning, a life that allows us to effectively work toward what we value and toward our goals. In this process, both the necessary commitment and sense of joy and vitality at times seem out of reach, and past traumas, addictions, untreated depression and anxiety can make getting what we want from life seem almost impossible. I offer a caring, non-judgmental, compassion-based approach to assisting you and your family in identifying existing mental health issues and developing strategies to work with and through these toward a more joyful and meaningful day-to-day. With self-kindness and compassion for ourselves, when aspects of our lives seem to be falling apart, we begin to see that they are closer to falling into place than we might think.
