Hello, my name is Starlar “Star” Harbour. I currently hold a Master’s degree in
Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. I am a Licensed Clinical
Professional Counselor-Intern working towards licensure. My professional experience
includes job roles in outpatient community-based services, inpatient and residential
settings, mental health psychiatric inpatient and outpatient treatment settings.
Throughout my professional career I have had the opportunity to provide various
services to include providing psycho education, group therapy, rehabilitation services,
basic life skills, coaching, counseling, case management, training, supervision, client
advocacy, ISP (Individual Service Plans) development, crisis intervention, and public
speaking while helping others develop the skills needed to have functional lives.
I have experience working with symptoms such as depression/ anxiety, trauma, ADHD,
OCD, grief/loss, low self-esteem, and attachment difficulties. I have worked with various
populations to include at-risk teens, adolescents, and young adults, couples, families,
and aging adults. I have an eclectic approach using various therapy modalities and
theories to meet people where they are. I believe that there is no cookie cutter approach
to addressing life’s diverse issues and how those issues impact our lives. I am
passionate about helping others achieve the goals they set for themselves and
developing the skill set needed to manage life productively from an empathetic,
compassionate and understanding approach. I look forward to meeting you and being
your greatest advocate and support.
